  • Can sensors with Memosens technology be used without hesitation in environments with high humidity levels, without any distortion of the measured values?

Yes, they can be used without hesitation. This is because the system is completely resistant to moisture, as both electricity and data are transferred inductively, i.e. via a non-contact connection. The connection itself is hermetically sealed. You can even plug-in the sensors under water.

  • How long does on-site calibration take?

You can be sure that you will not need to carry out an on-site calibration. You only need to replace the sensor - and this is done in a tenth of the time required for the calibration of analog sensors. This means that system downtime is reduced to a minimum. Calibration itself is carried out in a laboratory under optimum conditions.

  • Must the sensor be replaced on site by specialized personnel?

No. Replacement is so easy that it can be done by any member of staff.

  • Does calibration in the laboratory have an effect on the measurement performance in the field?

No. Thanks to the complete galvanic isolation, the properties of the cable and transmitter no longer play a role.

  • Can Memosens store process data?

Yes. Memosens sensors have an operating hour counter and they store high temperatures, extreme pH values, sterilizations, calibration values and changes to these values.

  • Is predictive maintenance possible?

Yes. In combination with suitable transmitters, functions such as sensor wear, calibration timers or sudden change of slope or zero point can be used for predictive maintenance.

  • Do Memosens sensors have a longer service life than analog ones?

Yes. This is because they are usually cleaned, reconditioned and calibrated in the laboratory, after which they are again ready for use.

  • Is a Memosens measuring point more expensive than an analog measuring point?

No. The costs are about the same. The slightly higher price of the Memosens sensors is offset by the omission of an analog input circuit in the transmitter.

  • Is there a difference between the analog and Memosens sensors in terms of accuracy and reproducibility?

No. As the sensor elements are identical, there are no differences whatsoever. A Memosens measuring point is, however, much more interference resistant than an analog measuring point thanks to its digital data transmission and complete galvanic isolation.

  • Can analog measuring points be converted to Memosens without any problems?

Yes. For suitable transmitters, only a new plug-in module or input card and new wiring are required. The Memosens sensors are completely compatible in terms of dimensions, threads etc.

  • Memosens sensors contain electronic components. Can they be used in potentially explosive atmospheres?

Yes. They have ATEX Zone 0 approval. The following Ex approvals have also been attained: IECEx, FM, CSA, Nepsi, KTL and TIIS.

  • Does the plug-in head offer safe and reliable sealing of the process in case of glass breakage?

Yes. The plug-in head seals up to 16 bar with triple safety. This is confirmed by the TÜV certificate.

  • Is Memosens established and accepted on the market?

Yes. Over a million Memosens sensors have already been sold.
